Abstract
The poster highlights the EFSA's opinion vs South Africa on pig public health, the chemical hazards and welfare conditions in the South African pig industry and meat inspection in South Africa. In South Africa measures are in place to ensure safety and quality of products but listeriosis is a major public health concern currently.
